Grab Federal Tax Incentives Before They End in December

Have you completed any upgrades to your property or plan on doing so before the end of the year?

Here are the incentives scheduled to end on December 31, 2016 for the following upgrades. Incentives are for existing homes and people’s principal residences. They don’t apply to new construction or rental properties.

• Biomass Stoves • Air Source Heat Pumps • Central Air Conditioners • Gas, Propane, or Oil Hot Water Boiler • Gas, Propane or Oil Furnaces and Fans • Insulation • Roofs • Water Heaters • Windows, Doors & Skylights

The following tax incentives apply to both existing homes and new construction. Principal residences and second homes qualify, but rental properties don’t.

• Geothermal Heat Pumps • Small Residential Wind Turbines • Fuel Cells (Residential Fuel Cell and Microturbines)
